Financial Aid

FINANCIAL AID OVERVIEW

All students are eligible and encouraged to apply for financial aid to help fund their post-high school education. Students complete a Financial Aid Application (either the FAFSA or WASFA form) which is then sent to the colleges of their choice.  After the student has applied and been accepted to a college, they will receive their Financial Aid Package which is a summary of what type of financial aid they are being offered.  This may include any combination of grants, scholarships, student loans or the option for the student to work for the college in return for tuition.  Students and families then have the option to accept or reject any part of the Financial Aid Package.

FINANCIAL AID APPLICATIONS

FAFSA: http://fafsa.ed.gov
WASFA: http://www.readysetgrad.org/wasfa

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid) both opened their applications on October 1, 2017.  Seniors that are planning to attend any type of further education are encouraged to file one of these applications in order to be eligible for financial aid (loans, grants, work study).  The FAFSA is only open to U.S. citizens but the WASFA is open to all students.  Students should determine which application is appropriate for them and only complete one application.  Students should file their applications as soon as possible in order to maximize their financial aid packages.  Please see Mrs. Westfall with any questions or to work on the application.
